Album Notes

In the summer of 2009, after a series of losses, I found myself free from all responsibilities. I packed up my car and headed north. One of the many synchronistic events that occurred during this process was stumbling upon Daniel Nahmod's CD, "Water." In this simple yet powerful music, I was reconnected with my own life's calling to also become an inspirational writer.

For the first time in my life, I decided to focus my energies on writing music, a calling I had spent most of my life pushing away. This album reflects my own personal journey "Out of the Ashes" and was written sequentially from September 2009-February 2010. The music on this album is the result of a deeply personal and profound experience, and expresses a particularly moving time in my life. The project honors the life-giving force that runs through everyone and everything. The music is warm, rich and melodic; carrying the listener through a beautiful journey from pain to joy, fear to love, and forgiveness to healing.

My hope is that you, the listener, will also find yourself embracing this life-giving force. May you rise above any difficult situation and forge ahead with courage, grace, love and peace.
