Album Notes

"Refreshingly distinct...Katie's sound is different enough to make it stand out from the pack and yet so alluring that you are drawn in."
Boston Soundcheck Magazine

Having already been a major contributor to the vibrant Boston music scene, Katie Terrio now emerges with her own debut CD, Songs From the Overground. As a vocalist for Whoville, Terrio introduced her sparkling and exuberant vocals with releases on the Monolyth label, and Newbury Comics' label, Wicked Disc.

Songs From the Overground showcases Terrio's brand of spirited "rock songs" with infectious melodies and beautiful, yet haunting, vocals. Produced by Adam Steinberg, Songs also features Milt Sutton on drums, who has worked with Aimee and Jen Trynin, and Jeff St. Pierre on bass, who has worked with the legendary Alex Chilton.

From the groovy guitar riff in "Memory," to the seductive and mesmorizing vocals in "Magazine," Terrio's songwriting talent makes it hard to stop listening.
