Katie's a force of nature. Her exceptional talents as a singer, songwriter, actor, dancer, and pianist were fostered from an early age. She was raised in a family of artists, rehearsing in the basement dance studio between her father's recording sessions, and her mother's paintings.
After years of being the backup singer, the contract player, the special guest artist, singing everybody else's songs from operatic dance tracks in Los Angeles to Opryland song-and-dance shows in Nashville... Katie brings her pipes to an original album all her own.
"What I've done right" is an original, cathartic representation of her. Produced by John Hancock and under her own label, TEMPER RECORDS, this CD is a mix of earthy, Blues-Pop-Rock music in a style completely new.
Katie performs with a piano between acting gigs, and is a guest artist of many of the bands that cross her path. She is a multitalented artist and an electric performer.
For a more complete Bio of Katie's past experience see her new album "What I've done right".
Tracks 1, 3, or 7.

Singing the blues
author: Carolyn
What I've Done Right features excellent bluesy pop. Among the highlights: "Do You", "Nice Guy" and "What I've Done Right", but each song is a gem in its own right. Katie Thompson is a first-rate singer, songwriter, and performer. Pick this up - you won't be disappointed.

The "Piano Woman" is Great!
author: Alan
In this CD I saw a different side of Katie Thompson than her performance in the Forgotten Carols. Between her piano playing, story telling and vocals, she reminds me of the Piano Man, Billy Joel. Great CD, go for it, Piano Woman!
