Poseidon's son, the latest cd from NYC singer/songwriter, Kati Mac (has sung with Meat Loaf, Sting, Nona Hendryx) takes you on a wild ride! An eclectic mix of songs written post 911 while completing her masters degree in compostion. The title song, Poseidon's Son is covertly about healing from the event while the song Trapeze is about and dedicated to the people she tragically saw loose their lives that day. The rest of the songs are written in the spirit of going off the beaten path. Sometimes emulating fav artists like James Brown, Joni Mitchell, Missey Elliot and Badfinger. There's even a crazy world song in 7/8 about Buddhism. A special appearance is made by incredible guitarist Jeff Golub (not to mention the other super star players! You'll have to get the CD ;) )on the funk tune IsYaWitMe?
It begins and ends with the anthemic rock song Only Love with a special appearance by D train Williams.
Though it has a serious side, Poseidon's Son is FUN FUN FUN!
