Kat Spitz’s voice has been heard by untold numbers of people on the west coast for years. Her voice is featured on various radio and television commercials and she appears as a studio singer in many other artists’ recordings as well. Kat is recommended as a vocal coach for other aspiring stars in Seattle.
In 2001, she was offered a complimentary session at Triad Studios in Redmond, WA which resulted in "First Contact", described in this review by Jon Sobel (of TheGlobalMuse.com): "The five songs on this EP, her first original project, showcase the spirited Spitz's lovely pipes, fine vocal control and unerring feel for jazz-pop harmonies."

For years people have recognized Kat Spitz as “the voice” and marveled at her versatility in successfully performing in a wide range of styles, and for years people have been saying the same thing... “Kat, you need to make you own record”. She has been responding to this often-repeated suggestion by flashing her patented smile and replying, “You know what? I’m working on it”. With the release of her new CD “I Know What You’re Thinking”, Kat has proven that everybody was right.
This record is a dramatic example of her captivating vocal style and carefully crafted songwriting. It sounds like a record you always knew existed but couldn’t seem to find. Kat Spitz displays her amazing vocal talent by presenting multiple sides of her without seeming forced or contrived. Kat is being soft, sensuous, flirtatious, funny, powerful, and in control. In other words, Kat is just being Kat.
Eventually everyone will hear this recording. You may as well start now.

Musically solid, dynamic vocals

Great tunes. Kat shows off the awesome variety of style and vocal inflection we've heard locally in Seattle since she began singing. The lyrics are emotionally moving, making you want to take action. (Paradise certainly makes you want to be "the boy".) This album showcases her talent even more than her first one did!

Kat brings it again

I waited anxiously for this project and it was well worth the wait. All of the tracks displayed your phenomenal voice and range. I particularly enjoyed it when you started to unleash the power on “I know what you’re thinking”. You surrounded yourself with some excellent musicians, Doug Reid really stood out. Don’t make us wait another seven years for the next one! My favorite track is “Crescent Moon”
