Kay9ine Born Michael Denmon, Los Angeles California and moved to the Inland Empire(San Bernardino) as a teen. As you listen to the album, you can hear the trials & Tribulations he's been through. Kay9ine grew up on 39th& Western before making the trip East, like any other urban family, 9ine grew up without his father and made the streets his home. OG's were the father figures in the hood, what ever the G's did you had to come 39 times harder. Jacking, hitting liks was the way of life to survive in South Central Los Angeles.

Kay9ine lived a thug life, 39th Street was a notorious CRIP gang in Los Angeles where 9ine was raised and also part of the notorious "DIRT SET GANG", that put 9ine in a state of, I can't be touched mode, later down the line, Kay9ine was off to the "BOYS RANCH" Juvenile hall. He spent about three years behind bars before hitting the block. His big homie from his hood KeeKee Loco from the group "True Blue" was always rapping, he come out the house rapping, he'll beat somebody down and rap about it. Kay9ine thought that was the tightest thing going besides selling drugs. 9ines mom couldn't hang in Los Angeles anymore so she decided to move to the desert, "San Bernardino" to get her kids out of the violent city, which back then Los Angeles was the MURDER CAPITAL in the nation. 9ine never forgot about Keekee Loco, he talked about him every time someone tried to rap, "you week, my homie from my hood ah bang on you", so he started writing rhymes every day. Then he noticed, this city is just like my hood, I can do the something out here I did out there. 9ine started flippin them thangz and came up like a fat rat. Kay9ine had it all, the money, cars,women,boats,jewelry and the homes. Until one day it came to a end. He was booked for selling a very large amount of yay. His Lawyers was taking-care of so he had to spend about six years in the pen and while he was lock down he met other brothers from everywhere, Sacramento,Oakland, Vallejo,Pomona, all over the place and they all was rapping.

To make a long story short, he met the cat who put C-Bo, Brotha Lynch Hung and X-Raided in the game, "YOUNG MEEK", Meek told 9ine to take his money and put a album together when he get out. 9ine thought about it after writing in the pen for six years, why not. As soon as Kay9ine hit the streets he started seeking producers, after that, Kay9ine, "The 9ine Cocked Back" was born. and that's why we're here.
