notes
Texas Justice was produced by Johnny Rawls who also appears as a guest artist. The song Lone Star Justice generated controversy in Houston when it received heavy airplay and was the subject of a Corpus Christi newspaper article. The CD reached number 15 on US blues radio airplay charts in May 2002. Blues Revue called it "a seamless blend of blues, soul and funk...one of the most auspicious debuts of the year". Blues Wax recently wrote in 5/17/05 issue "Lone Star Justice opens this killer CD...If there is any justice you will grab this glorious album of phenomenal textures, colors, playing and vocals as soon as you read this review". Selected as a Top 25 Album of the Year by Real Blues Magazine.

Gut bucket soul
author: Chas RalstonWhat a powerhouse vocalist and band. This CD is a steal. Buy two or more and share the joy. This is soul/blues at its best. Musicians with chops, and thinking man/woman songs. Kay Kay with that deep, muscular, soulful voice puts her unique stamp on some great songs.
