This is the kind of Jazz you make love to. Nightly!!!

All Jazzed Up is so pure, I dare call it perfect. Peoples' phrasing and style picks you right up and drops you in the 60's... and it keeps you there until your high (wink, wink) comes down. I simply love it. Wives and Lovers is simply mindboggling (I need a smoke). How Insenstive leaves me walking crooked everytime I hear it. I'm a fan for life. Jazz has a new queen... A queen of the Peoples.

jazz standards -- at first this does not sound very exciting, but just like another little fish in the evergrowing vocal-jazz pond,
but once before kaylene peoples could convince us otherwise (see review)- in 2004 with perfect soul-pop and this time with her perfected jazz variations.
it is a rather neverending task of course to find unknown aspects for all time favorites such as "my funny valentine" or "girl from ipanema," however kaylene does so by emphasizing her vocal qualities (5 octaves - in between elegant heartbreak, tender seduction and expressive passion) and in addition shows us that she is a master in playing the flute. she is also accompanied by a formidable trio just as tradition intended.
peoples also throws in her own songwriting without any difference in quality, in between the milestone songs of jazz history. the lady strives for perfection, but always with style and personality.
therefore "all jazzed up" is not just another vocal-jazz album, but a statement that can do justice to the "song-pearls" in every way.

Absolutely Sexy, Seductive and Cozy
author: Ali Saam
If I were to describe this album in one word which would be a very tough job, I would use the word "Fantastic". Kaylene's voice and style possesses a certain warmth and seductive quality. Now you add the music, specially the flute and the quitar to her voice along with that arrangement, it makes this album sexy and seductive and yet very warm and cozy. This CD will be an excellent choice if you like Jazz music or if you simply want to create an intimate mood for a romantic evening with your favorite person or significant other. I give this album Two thumbs up!!!!. I honestly, simply love it.
