Album Notes

My name is Glen Roethel. I'm a singer/songwriter, who is very excited to tell you about a special song - "Bedtime Story." It is tender, soft, warm and filled with the best ingredient--love. "Bedtime Story" is magical, and can soothe the child in all of us. This is my personal introduction to Kayli's debut album, "Hi Hi Hi," which includes her own performance of this beautiful song--with a guest appearance by her little boy--as well as many other fun and enchanting compositions. Please purchase a copy today! Here's the story:

I didn't know yet that Kayli was pregnant. She and Ely had come over to play a new piano piece she had taped.

"It needs words, Glen."

"Does it have a name?" I asked as she pressed play.

"I call it 'Bedtime Story,' but I don't want that to influence what you write."

If only I had known... The melody floated like a cloud that you could see once as it drifted by - and never forget. I told her it would make a beautiful instrumental piece.

"It needs WORDS, Glen." was all she said.

One week later, the words came. And with the words, some very strong feelings. It felt good. When I sang it for her, Kayli seemed thoughtful. She liked it.

We rushed to the studio and recorded 'Bedtime Story,' a tale of a family's heritage of love, joy and hope, passed down generations every night in a tender voice and a goodnight kiss.

Weeks later Kayli would tell me she was expecting her first child.

I think that anyone who ever had a child, ever dreamed of having a child, or who ever was a child, would love 'Bedtime Story.'

"And it still makes me smile!"
- Glen Roethel

Sometimes your own voice is really not your own. Sometimes it is many voices singing in harmony. I love this song, and this wonderful album! I hope you will enjoy it too, and share it with others who might need a little reminder...

I bought this for my grandbaby because he loves music - and the tunes are so catchy and delightful that I find myself singing along with them! There's a great variety of music - from lullaby sounds to uplifting, fun songs! My favorite, Bedtime Story, brings warmth to my heart each time I hear it.
