Album Notes

Kaze's April 2004 sophomore effort, titled Enemy of the State, features a collection of tracks by North Carolina's finest hip-hop artists and producers. With notable appearances by Nature and 9th Wonder among others, Kaze uses the album as a platform for voicing his desire to make it to the top of the industry and chronicles his success and struggle thus far. Enemy Of The State was pretty good.

I received my copy the other day...and I'm happy with it. I'm always checking for Kaze. One of my favorite MC's out of North Carolina. Stand out tracks to me are: State of the Union - Kaze.. On - Kaze.. Move Over - Kaze feat. Nature (Kaze rips it, K Hill's beat is crazy..I think Nature could've came a little bit stronger on this one though, Kaze definitely outshines him here).. 50/50 Amp REMIX - Kaze (almost as nice as the original) Pump This - Kaze feat. K Slack (dope shit, probably feelin' this one the most).. And Cut - Kaze.. Self-Titled feat. L.E.G.A.C.Y. (DJ Forge with a dope beat, L.E.G.A.C.Y. saying some ill shit as usual).. Soul Dojo - Kaze (maybe my 2nd favorite song on here).. Street Prayer - Kaze feat. Honesty (real dope).. No Turning Back - Kaze feat. AK Slaughter, Most Hi, Honesty (love this song and the feel of this song, but not really feelin' AK Slaughter or Most Hi..Honesty has a beautiful voice - she really sets it off).. So yeah, I likes. I want to hear another solo album from Kaze, opposed to this mixtape...but this holds me down until then.. Good work Kaze.
