Defying classification, Knitting By Twilight is progressive and atmospheric, pensive and minimalist. The limited lyrical content and focus on percussion results in a sort of modern chamber music.

Album Notes

Knitting By Twilight - 'An Evening Out of Town' - the new album, available now: eight (make that nine, as apparently there's a hidden track) new titles, and a re-mix of 'Audrey' from the Knitting By Twilight ep 'Someone to Break the Silence'. This is the fourth in an ongoing series of works from this Music & Art Collective, and the first full length album from the team.

The featured performers are: multi-instrumentalist- John Orsi and guitarists Mike Marando, Karen Orsi and returning in splendid form, Manny Silva.

"So this is the music accompanying one out of town for the evening. Upon hearing an advance copy of the album, I'm inclined to agree with the adage that it's the journey somewhere, and not necessarily the arrival that contains the real adventure. Daphne Dakota for it’s Twilight Time, October 2008.

Typical Descriptions of Previous Works

"...all have that hazy beauty Orsi is justly praised for...temperament and thought pervade his craftmanship, oft magnified by filigree and shimmering pastels..."
- Marc S. Tucker

“…remarkable and varied stylistic textures that mix the dark neo folk with ambient atmospheres, or the meditative airs with romantic pop and psychedelic rock. The music has a pleasant freshness, thanks to the imaginative melodies and architectures.”
– Alejandro Hinojosa

“…Defying classification, Knitting By Twilight is progressive and atmospheric, pensive and minimalist. The limited lyrical content and focus on percussion results in a sort of modern chamber music…”
– Brian McGrath

“…highly creative and well crafted music that will transport you beyond the norm…”
– Dick Metcalf

“Supple like a sapling, and moody as a dark shady oak.”
– Alistair Fitchett
