Album Notes

IT'S NEVER TOO LATE to follow your dreams and passions!! MINE has always been MUSIC. The first piano I ever saw I knew it was there just for ME! I climbed up on the piano stool and began to play songs.... just like that! A true gift! I played in jr. high, high school, college and community and civic orchestras (trumpet and French horn). I played in big bands, Dixieland bands, sang in all.

I had a trio in college and worked almost every weekend in Lake Charles... Came marriage and children... no time for a music career... but around "midlife" - children grown and gone, I began my quest to satisfy my own personal passion and spirit... AT LAST!!! A chance for a music career! Over a decade has passed since that time, I've had the opportunity to write, play, perform and record music and have a very successful music career playing in clubs, restaurants, stages, concerts, private and corporate events, etc.

I wrote a particular song, Let Freedom Ring as a tribute to 9/11 and I have had an opportunity to sing live on Fox 4 TV in Dallas in their tribute to 9/11. I perform it at large patriotic and political programs and rallies. I was guest conductor of a choir and band who performed my work in October, 2002 near Beaumont, Texas and on Jan. 21, a large choir, approximately 170 voices, will perform this song in Dallas at a Celebration for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

I perform my own songs along all others during my regular gigs. I have enjoyed the success of radio play and CD sales with the release of my new CD in early December.

I'm still singin' and swingin' - and enjoying my life... full of passion and spiritual fulfillment -- getting to play and share music!!! I play keyboards as a solo artist and sing.... plus a DUO - have a great sax player who plays with me... and then I have the band...with whom I recorded this CD; KC....Singin' & Swingin (her own songs)

IT'S NEVER TOO LATE TO FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS AND PASSIONS!
All you have to do is JUST DO IT! - pick up that paint brush, learn to play an instrument, sing, dance and let your TRUE PASSIONS AND SPIRIT SOAR!!!! it feels good!

REVIEWS

There's a lot of Heart in this music.
author: Shareefah
The songwriting is clever and the music is good. There's a very interesting mix of genres including toe tapping rhythms reminiscent of the swing era and the smooth, sultry bossa "Through Loves Door" Nicely done!
