Since 1987 Kelly Carmichael has played guitar in internationally known hard rock bands INTERNAL VOID and the legendary PENTAGRAM (USA). Beneath Kelly's heavy electric guitar sound lies roots of blues, in fact all the way back to the early Delta & Country Blues. Kelly began performing solo in 2001, playing finger style and slide acoustic guitar in the traditions of B. Broonzy, J. Hurt and Robert Johnson. The year 2005 brought Kelly's debut solo release "OLD STOCK" which covers styles ranging from Delta/Country Blues, Piedmont to Spirituals. OLD STOCK features Kelly on both vocals and guitar. Whether it's the natural sound of his Sovereign acoustic or the brash bottleneck slide work on his resophonic guitar he stays true to the traditional styles of the blues forefathers. Accompanying Kelly are exceptional Fiddle, Mandolin, and Harmonica performances which gives each song a fresh feel and direction.
