Kristin Carole Hall is tall, terribly tall. Over the years, she has enjoyed stints as classical singer, improvisational actress and artistic director of the theatre troupe Renegade Duck. She has played venues as diverse as Boston's Symphony Hall and small theaters in front of the accolades of packed houses of five.
Now, she turns her talents to her first love, music. Kristin's debut album, "Coppice" (2005) contains 13 original songs that refuse to be pigeon-holed; running the gamut from the folk anthem "Bless Me Down" to the intimate lullaby "No Words" to the full-blown blues ballad "Who Is She?" All instrumentals and vocals are hers. In addition, those who visit her web site are treated to "The Story Behind The Song" which gives some insight on the genesis of each tune.
In a short time on the Boston music scene, she has garnered quite a following. Her songs have been described as "wonderfully personal, but delivered with a passion that brings you onstage with her." Her inbox is full of fan letters from those who have bought her CD. As one fan said, "I know stardom when I hear it". If you've not heard her live, go. If you've not yet picked up her CD, get it. You'll be won over, too.
A prolific songwriter, Kristin is currently in the studio working on her second album, due out this summer.
