"Six String Guitars and Tourist Town Bars ", definitely describes this road veteran. From Key West to Put In Bay and most points in between KD is right at home in front of a live audience..he has been known to crank out four to five hour sets without a break.."I hate to disrupt the momentum once things really get going....besides I'm usually the one having the most fun. Most nights...the audience ends up entertaining me"!
Headin South is the most played CD in my player. This silver platter of 13 tunes is a trop-rock mango and margarita party for parrotheads and normal people, too. Apparently this was a surprise to pretty much only me, KD's fan base exists and is growing. He invites comparisons to some of the more senior troubadours of seaside serenades: Sunny Jim White, Jim Morris, and contemporaries as well. These comparisons are level and deserved. Headin' South has some tunes that invite contemplation as well as those raucous sun and fun rockers that we listen to when we're kicking it, island style. (More on that later.) In fact, one song has become my own personal hymn to relaxation: My Hammock's Tied at Both Ends. Even the title is enough, it evokes a work-is-done ethos that gears down my heart rate. The Jackson-esque (Alan, not Michael) In A World Gone Mad is similarly reflective, and hints at wisdom behind the perpetual smile. But adrenaline flows in up-tempo compositions; It's Just Like Mardi Gras (Put-In- Bay song) and No-one To Satisfy But Me. Come to think of, that sounds just as relaxing as my tied-up hammock. This album (I still call them that, how quaint) has two standouts, songs that could easily become standards.

A must have for all parrotheads!

After listening to this CD I'm anxious to see KD Moore at a live performance. Some of the songs here remind me a little bit of Jim Hoehn's writing style. I enjoyed the entire playlist but "Good For The Itch", "My Hammocks Tied At Both Ends" and "Dance Like Nobody's Watching" are my favorites.

This is the perfect CD to listen to while getting some good quality hammock time or when you just need to unwind and listen to some great tunes by an amazing artist. I made the mistake of giving away so many copies of this CD to friends at backyard bonfires and BBQ's that I had to order more, and I'll probably end up doing it again! Excellent CD!!!
