2006 SAMMY (Syracuse Area Music Awards)- Best Jazz Recording

The Collective returns with their second release 'Gateway'. Combining jazz harmony with other styles of music (latin, folk and other world music), the Collective is carving out a niche for themselves in the musical landscape.

The Collective is:

Kevin Dorsey/ composer, double-bass, electric bass guitar
Jerry Bower/ congas, udu drum, shaker, clave, cymbal
Bob Piorun/ acoustic, nylon and steel string electric guitars
Bill Pomares/ tenor and soprano saxophones, flute, clarinet
Stein Rimehaug/ piano, keyboard, melodica
