-In The Latter Half of the first Decade of the 21th century;More and More popular music is influenced by Hip Hop and Modern Beats;even Gospel and Country music. The Modern Mississippi Hill Country Blues, popularized by the Late Great R. L. Burnside;began Mixing Modern Beats,Punk Rock and HipHop into His Hill Country Boogie in the late 20th Century. Now the Texas Country Blues Preacher,KM Williams also Continues with the latest update of this Sound;Mixing Hard Rockin Texas/Mississippi Hill Country/Delta Blues with Modern Beats ,Fife and Drums Sounds,Psychedelic Funk, and old School Country Boogie. This is KM Williams most modern sounding Recording to date!He still gives homage to the old tried and true Country Blues/Boogie/Spiritual sound but at the same time, infuses a modern, contemporary feel to the old hill country Stomp! A modern Sounding Blues Masterpiece from an Old School Master! This Recording Should retain the core diehard fans of Hill Country Blues and Boogie but should also gain new fans more accustomed to Today's Contemporary Sounds and Feelings! - John the Revelator. Jeff Konkel,Owner(Broke and Hungry Records)-
Oh yeah! KM Williams is the real deal. great player . . . does a little hill country, little gospel, little texas blues, little delta . . . and it all sounds damned good!- Saw this guy down at the Juke Joint Festival in Clarksdale. He plays some killer stuff and nobody walked away, that I could tell, while he was doing it. Hard driving guitar trance music ala Reverend Overstreet. Very danged good- tweedblues.net May 2006.

Yet another fantastic album from KM. I like my blues to be really raw sounding and this album is as raw as it gets! Really funky in places esp. I want to belive in you and run to the city.

A Killer Mix of Downhome Texas Country Blues and Gospel!
author: Mick Rainsford - Blues in Britain Magazine
This Set is yet another killer mix of Blues and Gospel with the influences of Hopkins,Hooker,Burnside,Kimbrough and Blind Willie Johnson well to the fore."Get Your Motor Running" is an apt title as Williams exhorts a repetitive lyric over a insistent Hooker=like riff."I Wanna Believe in You" is a Favorite of Mine,a downhome slab of country gospel with wah wah effects."Get You Out Of My Mind" is almost pure Kimbrough in feel and approach.(For the rest of the review; buy the upcoming issue of "Blues in Britian" at the above website).

Another Masterpiece for the Blues Preacher! This Cd boogies with just a taste of hip hop feel on some cuts("Wanna believe in You" and "Run to the City"),funky wah-wah and Diddley Bow sounds("treat me so mean" and "Oh Lordy Stomp") and Straight up Hill Country Mississippi Boogie("Get you out of My Mind" and "Rock with You").This Guy just won't quit and I'm the better for it!Keep on Preachin' the Boogie!
