notes
KM Williams,The Texas Country Blues Preacher,is a preacher/bluesman from Texas who sounds like he recorded back in the Days of Muddy Waters,Elmore James and Howlin Wolf. Decidedly Lo-Fi and Raw with hiss, hum and distortion on many tracks, this album is just one solo man with his intense gutbucket Mississippi Hilll Country Boogie,Delta Blues and Texas Churchhouse guitar playing style with occasional drum tracks and Live drums.Playing Guitars,Vocals and writing most of the lyrics, this CD's Mix of Hardcore Chicago Blues ,Mississippi Delta Blues,Rocking Texas Churchhouse Spirituals and Mississippi Hill Country grooves that were recorded in various live and studio setting dating back as far as 8-10 years ago. This CD also represents many of the great influences on KM Williams music such as Muddy Waters,Howlin' Wolf,Mississippi Fred McDowell,Son House,RL Burnside and Blind Willie Johnson,so a lot of the sounds on this CD feels like 1950's or 1960's Mississippi Delta and early Chicago styles of these Great artists;even down to the sound of early some scratchy recordings similar to Son House and Robert Johnson.A unique blast from the past, updated for the future, of early great Blues and Spirituals performed and recorded in the modern day! - Casper - "KM Williams,This young man is a living 'crossover'. He crosses blues and gospel and makes it all so appealing to anyone with heart. Sanctified Boogie, indeed!" ~ Steve LaVere, Delta Haze Corporation

Early KM is as brilliant as any of his recordings!
author: SiThis collection has some different versions of songs that can be found on KM's albums and/or trainrecks. The different takes are amazing my fave is If you need me which I love from the first album but on this cd it takes on a whole new boogie style! I hope there is a second volume of lost tapes to come!
A Raw Throwback to Muddy Waters, Son House & Howlin Wolf
author: Will MarkIf you like The Raw Power of Early Muddy Waters and Howlin Wolf Records with a little bit of a Son House/Blind Willie Johnson acoustic blues feel, this CD is FOR YOU! This Guy's music takes you back to late 40's/early fifties Chicago/Mississsippi Blues and spirtuals singing. I think it's great!
