Album Notes

KM Williams is a gifted Musician and Performer Known as the TEXAS COUNTRY BLUES PREACHER. He is internationally known for performing Old Time Spirituals and Country Blues in an old Soulful,Blind Willie Johnson/John Lee Hooker-like Boogie style on Semi-acoustic Guitar,"Lowebow" diddley bow,Harmonica and Stompboard. This CD is the pure, raw,Texas//Mississippi Country Blues,Boogie and Spirituals of KM Williams just bearing his Heart,Mind and Soul! These Country Blues & Spirituals are just about as raw and real as it gets! Honest,Heartfelt,Soulful Musical Expressions of the Texas Country Blues Preacher. "KM Williams may have been inspired by the great Blind Lemon Jefferson, but his style and method is all his own. He definitely comes from that area of the soul that Jefferson came from in the music, but filtered through his own unique approach, Williams makes it his own. Highest recommendation." - Bill Fountain, Founder, director and Producer of "Level Ground Film productions" "An American practitioner of the old guitar ways" - Blues Bunny

REVIEWS

The preacher is back rough!(translation of previous review)
author: KM Williams for Tonton Erick
The preacher is back rough, v'là a guy who is not in the mégotage and t'aligne not less than 19 rounds of the puck not sophisticated for a round, not the pretentious refine the hollow of a cozy studio , Not gross registered either in a bar or in the street, on stage, and wherever "The preacher of Country Blues" can spread the good word of the Old Time Blues Picking way Blind Willie Johnson or even good old Boogies the John Lee Hooker. Makes you mix a craftsman in the back of his garage, without watering down, the kid who thee Braille, the part that falls in tips, etc.., T'imprime the pocket and you finally sent the puck directly in the nourrin. KM Williams is the survivor of a species almost completely disappeared, something the dinosaur style that continues to regale you a blues, blues funds times with passion, honesty and despite what some say great musicality, primitive but certainly this damn interesting ... and more. Blind Lemon Jefferson is his master but KM has created his son, his music and give it a soul .... Even a washer and a real magic cure simplicity enjoying total hypnotic Tonton Erick

More fantastic boogie!
author: Si
Alot of this album sees KM in North Mississippi mode. Reminds me alot of early RL Burnside and Charles Caldwell as well as mixing it up with some more experimental moments. \'Mama Don\'t Allow me\' \'Always be true to you\' and \'Please come back home\' are the main highlights for me from a very good album!

Le prêcheur rugueux est de retour
author: Erick Diard
