notes
The female fronted quartet KEATING is making waves with their debut album, “Still But Not Stopped”. Mixed and mastered by Nick Blagona (Alexisonfire), the album crosses several mainstream genres and is turning heads and ears nationwide. The sound is approachable - with pop-rock melodies and hooky riffs – but listening compels you to think about life and love and all of the big questions. Described often as “Sarah McLachlan meets Coldplay, Oasis and U2”, Keating’s sound is a unique take on their influencers’ sounds. Piano driven, with anthemic choruses, melodic bass lines, enchanting guitar riffs, catchy drum beats and passion throughout, the music is easy to listen to; both catchy and stirring.
“It’s an honor to be compared to the likes of Coldplay, U2 and other of our influences, especially as a girl singer/song-writer”, ‘Front-woman’ Cindy Keating explains. “Sometimes its tough to get out of the stereotypical pegs female fronted bands get - either a fluffy pop star, an angry rocker or a super edgy alternative freak. People can just relate to us as people, our music, the passion, emotion and real life memories it stirs up.”
KEATING released their debut album “Still But Not Stopped” independently in September 2006 and the hit single “Much To Say” is available for adds nationwide.
