Album Notes

Keith has performed along side some of the giants of the business including Paul Anka, Benny Golson, The Temptations, Ray Vega, Ralph Lalama and hundreds of other great artists. Keith has been living and performing in the NYC area for over 7 years. Keith regularly leads his own groups performing original compositions and arrangements. Keith also has released three CD’s under his own name: Rhythm of the Blues, C.D.'s Delight and now One Last Stop and Keith has been heard on the airwaves all over the world. Keith continues to perform and teach regularly in a wide variety of contexts including clinics in High Schools and Colleges.
Keith’s unique style has allowed him to perform and record in many genres of music. He is on dozens of recordings including being a featured soloist on the Grammy nominated album Entres Amigos by Alex Torres and the Latin Kings. Keith also has been able to perform on ABC’s Good Morning America and The View, also the Food Network’s Food Nation. Other performances of note include Newport Jazz Festival, 103.1 Smooth Jazz Festival, Tulip Festival, Larkfest, Fleet Blues Fest, as well as the featured artist at A Place for Jazz. Keith also was the winner of ASCAP’s Louis Armstrong Award and the Essex County Performing Arts Award.
Keith has played in groups ranging from R&B to Jazz, Latin, Big Band and many other styles. With his first release as a leader in 2001 Rhythm of the Blues, listeners have said “Keith has the soul and energy of a young Cannonball Adderly” and that “Keith always makes us feel good when we hear him.” Keith’s style can be attributed to the influence of Cannonball Adderly, Lockjaw Davis, Maceo Parker, Earl Bostic, Johnny Hodges, Willis Jackson and Jackie Mclean (as well as many others deep in the tradition).
Keith continues to hone his craft through study and practice and by trying new ideas on the bandstand. Currently Keith is performing around the North Eastern Region with his latest project which is an organ and sax driven band that performs original music by Keith. Keith is also a member of Local 802 Musicians Union, BMI, and the International Association of Jazz Educators.

I recently heard Keith live and was looking forward to getting his music..........One Last Stop is a set of tunes I can listen to many times......Great playing abilities by all the musicians. As a rock saxist, I'll have to get down some of these licks I'm hearing!

This disc is a nice edition to any Jazz collection. The songs are rather lengthy and the instrumentalists have plenty of opportunity to display their musical savvy. I'm a guitar and keyboard guy so I espeically enjoyed the masterful comping of guitarist Tim Reyes and keyboardists Dave Salazzo andGreg Lewis.Check out the unctuous sounds of "Up Jump" with the Jimmy Smith organ groove--Yikes!!
