Album Notes

All music on this album is original material written and arranged by either Keith Pray or fellow Capital District musicians: Yuko Kishimoto, Brian Patneaude and John Dworkin'. The CD was recorded over a month period (Aug-sept. 2009) at Tess' Lark Tavern in Albany, NY. Since its inception in 2006, the ensemble has created its own scene at the tavern attracting fans from varying circles (jazz, rock, folk, hip-hop etc...). This recording is a documentation of that "Hang" and is the groups debut CD. The ensemble prides itself in providing a twist or two for all of its listeners by not limiting itself to standard repertoire. The music is constantly evolving and heading in new directions and even the leader is not sure where it will head next.
