100 YEARS TOO LATE
KEITH WARD by Roy Warhurst
There’s little doubt in my mind that Keith Ward would have liked to have lived in the past. He did not get off the train a few years ago; he got off a stagecoach in the 1800’s somewhere in the West.
The first time I met Keith I was impressed with his accurate knowledge of the west and particularly the history of western music. I soon became aware that his love and interest in the western way of life went far beyond owning a horse, a Tom Mix hat and a guitar. The time spent with the cowboys he runs with working cattle takes him back to a time he seems to enjoy most.
After several attempts to hear him sing, he reluctantly brought his guitar along and sang a few songs in the studio. I was impressed. With his quiet, shy manner and gentle western singing voice, Keith’s cowboy ways are genuine and are reflected in the way he lives.
*Update: 100 YEARS TOO LATE was recently featured on Hugh McLennan's "Spirit of the West" radio show!

Great voice ... did Keith write the songs too? Would have loved to have seen video at the same time I was listening to the song. What a surprise to find out how talented Keith is.
