Small Dot Town

What a lovely collection. I have about worn the CD out already! Jon Benett was especially moving and I really like Love in the Living Room. It's real music for everyday people like me. Thanks. Hope to see more from you.

I see Kevin Lane also reviewed this CD. Now what is the possibility that this the same Kevin and Kelley Lane that I remember so well from my childhood days in Chattanooga, TN at Highland Park Grade School? Now wouldn't that just be a trip if it were the same people!
Anyway, the music is great stuff! I liked everything I heard here. Nice work!

Awesome CD from one of Georgia's finest singer/songwriters!
author: Gene Brigham
With his solo debut, Kelley Lane has reminded us that clever songwriting is not just some lost relic. With very little production, the songs are presented in a no-nonsense, intimate setting with the vocals right up front. "City on the Bend" is worth the price of this disc by itself - an absolutely beautiful track. I'm definitely looking forward to the next release from this artist!

A superb first album of great songs for the head and heart.
author: Kevin Lane
In his first release, Kelley Lane has assembled a collection of songs sure to touch a nerve in just about everyone, from sentimental love songs to frisky playfulness to poignant regret and wistfulness. Among the highlights are "Ride With Me Tonight," a first rate love song with vivid imagery of midnight car rides that nearly everyone dreams of having, and "Dog Moon," which invokes southern mystery and sentimental yearning for simpler times and places. Fine writing, singing, and playing are present throughout each track, and a listen to this record will result in many more sessions with it. Kelley Lane is a force to be reckoned with in the contemporary folk scene, and this album stands up with any first release in this that I can think of. A fine work.
