Channel is the term for a section of a piece of music that serves as a bridge between one movement and the next. The Kellys' new DVD, Channel, is an amazing piece of art that serves as a bridge between two bodies of music (Overture - the band's 2007 EP and the soon-to-be-released album, Opus). The DVD consists of a live performance of The Kellys backed by the Northeast Ohio All-Star Orchestra for three of the band's original songs. It also contains two unreleased tracks that The Kellys recorded with producer Mariano Longo; one is a completely original work titled 'Miles Away', and the other is a rendition of Tina Turner's 'We Don't Need Another Hero.' Channel also contains some special features including a glimpse of some of The Kellys' history in picture and video.
