Album Notes

A delightful arrangement of big band swing and cool jazz driven by Kelly Wright's powerful vocals, "No Secret Anymore" is a must-have CD for your vocal jazz collection. This Seattle performer is fun, classy and gives the listener knock-out vocals on great arrangements featuring a "who's -who" in Seattle jazz...Jim Knapp, Chuck Deardorf, Mark Ivestor, Jon Goforth, John Hansen, Hans Teuber, Vern Sielert, Steve Korn, Dave Pascal, Susan Pascal...just to name a few! Born and raised in Detroit, Kelly was singing all her life. She moved to Seattle to pursue a career in radio but her true love of singing was always there. She began performing with a local Seattle group called The Washingtonians! and was a featured performer with them for the last 5 years until the group retired in 2002. The stars aligned and this naturally talented singer was given the opportunity to work with some of the best musicians Seattle has to offer..."No Secret Anymore" is the result! "No Secret Anymore" features songs from Sammy Fain, Antonio Carlos Joabim, David Frishberg, Randy Newman, Theodore Shapiro. "No Secret Anymore" was produced by Seattle singer/songwriter/comedian/Britney Spears body double Lisa Koch (pronounced "Coke")who is well known to Seattle audiences as one-half of hilarious sketch-comedy duo, Dos Fallopia (with comic Peggy Platt), and is an alumnus of cult quartet Venus Envy ("I'll Be A Homo For Xmas").

Amazing singer!

I can't believe that Kelly hasn't been discovered by the listening public! It is clear that she is influenced by some of the greatest singers of this century: Doris Day, Anita Ellis, Keely Smith - all right out of the heart of the big band era. No sugar-pop princess here. This lady is all talent and voice. I highly recommend this CD.

A great selection of songs made even better by the musical arrangments and the great voice of Kelly Wright! Kelly proves she can really belt out a song with the wide variety of music she has chosen. Old Cape Cod is one of my favorites along with The Song of the Old Mill. Easy listening made even better by Kelly Wright! Loved it!

A singer with a great voice!
author: Peter D. Harris, Rambles.net, a cultural arts magazine
The most famous song here is "Secret Love." This classic song...has been interpreted in many different ways and I've heard a lot of different versions, but Kelly's is distinctive and dramatic while still paying respect to the original. This is a fine debut by a singer with a great voice.
