Album Notes

Brett Kemnitz has been making music since 1971. Songwriting influences include Woody, Dylan, Billy Batson, Shel Silverstein, and Blind Blake. Although influenced by the guitar work of Rev. Gary Davis, Mississippi John Hurt and Joseph Spence he has amalgamated these into a style of his own. A couple dozen of his songs have been played by the likes of Craig Siemsen, Patty Stevenson, Jym Mooney, Jonnie Guernsey, Jonathon Leubner, the Starvin' Band and 13 Story Jesus. He has appeared on television (cable and otherwise) as well as radio. Some songs will make you laugh, some feel more intensely, and some will make you think. Featuring guitar and vocal, these songs are definitely not over produced. If you like a lot of strings, you only get six here!
