Album Notes

Kendra is a prolific singer/songwriter whose roots lie in technical diligence and whose soul shines through in her vocal performance. Her melodies have bluesy/melancholic foundations on which she builds original, funky harmonic and lyrical structure. On this album she uses her voice and twelve string to confess, confide in, and make emotional contact with her audience. With "Soulo" Kendra Flowers goes for a raw, from-the-gut sound that's fondly reminiscent of Rory Block. I suppose at live shows Kendra kicks serious butt. You’ve got to listen to this CD yourself! Purchase it as soon as possible and take responsibility. Don't blame me if you end up wearing out the repeat button on your compact disc player.
