Album Notes

Kenny Brazil grew up in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn New York, and began his performing career in the 3rd grade, reciting poems from “The Last Poets” in school talent programs. After two tours in the military, Kenny moved to Atlanta Georgia, where he performed in nearly all of the notable venues in town, including The Fabulous Fox Theater of Atlanta and Atlanta’s Civic Center. He traveled the southeast with an inspirational stage play, and co-produced comedy skits for J. Anthony Brown. Soon after, Kenny had a chance meeting with the legendary funk artist George Clinton which led to immediate collaborations, two of which landed on George’s very next album. Kenny Brazil is a true soul singer who has drawn comparisons to such classic R&B vocalist as Marvin Gaye, Bill Withers and Bobby Womack. What Kenny offers is a sophisticated and stylized take on late ‘60s and early ‘70s soul, mixing sensual funk with ballad sincerity. Stay tuned……………….
