ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Kenny is one of the best songwriters and singers in
the music business. He had several hits on Capital
Records before signing with Axbar. His "Bluest
Heartache of the Year" on Capital was a major
Billboard hit and still is highly prized and sought
after by fans and collectors world wide.
This album produced by Joe Scates at studios in San
Antonio and Houston was leased by EMI Records and
released in New Zealand and contiguous territories.
This recording demonstrates the versatility of this
fine writer and singer. From hard country to comedy,
love songs, wedding songs, blues, latin dance songs,
and a touching song written for his little daughter
(When I Be Five) this recording has it all.
His Wedding Song, (Two Will Be One) has been much in
demand for years and Kenny is still asked to sing
it live at weddings. It has been translated into
Spanish, but has not yet been recorded in Spanish.
Kenny has tentatively accepted an offer to tour in
New Zealand and the details are being worked out.

versitality
I was lucky enough to play with Kenny and Danny Rainwater back in the 70's and to this day I've never heard anyone sing the American Trilogy better. It was on a Capitol record I think.

The 1st time I heard & saw Kenny Dale was at the Chili cookoff on a Saturday I think it was 1984 -1985 @Midnight Rodeo in San Antonio where Kenny performed on a flatbed trailer outside. I really enjoyed the music and kept checking around for several years and couldn't find anything. I still have his 45 RPM record on a Republic label with "Two Will Be One" & "One of a Kind" on the flipside. I decided to Google Kenny Dale and found CD Baby. Love the CD thanks CD Baby.

Veteran Troubador is still writing and singing great songs.
I remember Kenny from when he had a bunch of songs on
Billboard charts in the 70's and 80's. He writes most of
his own material and is a master at stylizing the vocals
to tug at your heartstrings or tickle your funny bone, depending on the genre and subject of the songs. I believe he also had a gold record in New Zealand.
This record does not disapoint - it'll grab you by the
heart.

Kenny's style of singing never goes out of style
I ordered this one before I found his greatest hits CD.It just brough back the memories of where I was and who I was with back in the late seventies. Kenny is still as smooth and mellow as ever. A great CD.
