What an exciting year this has been for Obsessions Octet!
With the release of their debut album, OBSESSION, an experiment with classical strings and jazz rhythms,this group has arrived in style. Early in 2007 they received a Juno Nomination for Contemporary Jazz Album of the Year. Just a few months ago were they were honored to receive a Western Canadian Music Award for Outstanding Jazz Recording. The response from the jazz community has been tremendous and with that the group is preparing to go back into the studio for their sophomore recording.
