Album Notes

Kirby Keough
Part Hawaiian and raised on Oahu, Kirby has been Kaua`i's first call stringed instrument session man for years, playing on GRAMMY and Na Hoku Hanohano nominated albums for Amy Hanaiali`i Gilliom, Leilani Rivera Bond, Inner Session, Moonbows for Christmas, and many others.

On acoustic or electric guitar, ukulele, mandolin or bass, Kirby has been keeping it Kaua`i Kine for over 25 years. He remains one of Kaua`i's best loved musicians. Kirby is accompanied by his friends Ken Emerson, Pancho Graham, Pat Cockett and Clyde Letreta.

Kaua`i Kine
Kirby's debut album, Kaua`i Kine celebrates songs of Kaua`i by Dennis Kamakahi, Lena Machado, Alfred Alohikea, Bob Nelson, Randy Farden and others. Kirby's traditional vocal stylings and kanikapila instrumental approach make Kaua`i Kine a must have for Hawaiian music lovers.
