Jazz, medium rare. Not the scary stuff that makes people want to fight and not saccharin, smooth jazz either. This is eclectic music somewhere in between both genres covering a niche for first time jazz listeners as well as more seasoned fans.

Album Notes

My band is made up of the best players available at any given time. I mainly use pick up groups comprised of monster players who can all read real good and have chops out the whazoo. I work with a lot of different bass players, drummers and horn players. I like to keep things fresh so I don't get uptight about not having regular sidemen. When I record in the studio I use the best players in town that week. I am mainly a songwriter. I play guitar but I emulate horn players like Coltrane and Miles for melody lines and piano players like Herbie Hancock and Bill Evans for harmonic concepts. I always try to hire sidemen that are better than me. That way I have the best chance of sounding good. Give credit where credit is due I say. Without my sidemen I'd be nowhere. My musical associates are all stellar players and make each song greater than the sum of all its parts. Thanks guys!
