Simply Extraordinary

When Rachel was a child, her friends thought she had an innate talent for words and expressive lyric writing. I remember her composing an original song about summer in the mountains, traversing the verdant landscape of dewy fields in the early morning. None of us could really fathom that all of this muse-like creativity could spring forth from the spirit of an eleven year old girl. Listening to her now, some twenty years later, brings into consciousness with a smile the maturation of an innate gift well cultivated by the caring artist for her craft. The prosody of the muse, now featured here, reflects philosophical medititations emotionally garnered and melodiously presented. I'm buying a copy for all of my close friends.

"Love is not love" is not so much a departure for Rachel, but a whole new level of the soothing sound of her voice.

I already own this artist's first two CDs. I recently bought her third CD and... wow! It's really cool. I like it very much and I listen to it all the time. It is amazing how many skills this artist has. A great voice, a unique ability to play guitar, and a true talent in writing the music and lyrics of her own songs. It is very rare to find so many talents all in one artist, but that's why I like Rachel Kershenbaum's songs: they are so authentic. My favorite song of her new album is "All Through The Night." I usually play it two of three times in a row. I recommend this CD highly.
