Album Notes

Marianne Kesler is a singer-songwriter, guitarist, & recording artist from Ohio. First trained as a viola player, Marianne taught herself to play the guitar at the age of 12, in order to provide a musical backdrop for the lyrics she loved to write & sing.
Marianne made her first studio demo in 1988 & won the chance to record an album of cover tunes in 1991. This was the beginning of her ongoing concert performing & her first concert tour was in the summer of 1993.
Marianne's musical style is an eclectic mixture, combining elements of folk & modern pop/rock with a retro touch. Long Road Home is the title & theme of Marianne's newest project & fourth indie release! Enhanced by Benjamin Kesler's co-writing on much of the music on this disc, this album melds thoughtful and relevant lyrical content with edgy modern folk/pop/rock.
Williamsport Sun-Gazette Correspondant John J. Blair says
"...sowing sonorous seeds of realism with edgy folk/rock. Patent lyrical images like "feeling the wind in your hair" or "going home" seem like new experiences."
