Greetings From Memphis features Kevin Barber with Steve & Lisa Clark. This American roots effort combines influences from 1950s rockabilly masters Gene Vincent, Carl Perkins, Elvis Presley, and The Burnette Brothers with the jumpin' jive of Louis Jordan and the blues of Willie Dixon.
Recorded and mixed by Matt Ross-Sprang and James Lott at legendary Sun Studio in Memphis, TN, the tracks were mastered by Larry and Kevin Nix at L. Nix Mastering.
Instrumentation include the standard trio set-up of guitar, vocals, bass and drums and adds a few splashes of added flavors of egg-shakers, vibra-slap, a harmonica and what sounds to be a bag of bottle caps shaken vigorously.
"..in rotation...Awesome album. THANKS for the fine music."
-Del Villarreal, Motorbilly Radio
