Album Notes

Kevin and the Coconuts, a steelband based in Mendocino, California, plays a lively mix of calypso, soca, latin and original tunes with the greatest musical inspiration coming from the Caribbean Islands of Trinidad and Cuba. The band is comprised of Kevin Grant, pan-builder, tuner and arranger on lead pan, double seconds and vocals, Annie Lee on the three cello pans and vocals, Dalen Anderson on the four bass pans and vocals, Dan Albrecht on drum set and lead vocals, Steve Paul on trumpet, vocals and percussion and Paul Schulman on congas and vocals.
