Album Notes

Ferguson's music in total is a collection of experiments in the possibilities of exploring punk, virtuoso classical musics of the world, ethnic folk dances, acoustic and metal along with other music from throughout history and the world. Much of the results sound like if Frank Zappa, Paganini, Ravi Shankar, Steve Morse, Bach, Eric Johnson, King Ferus and Paco de Lucia decided to make music together. In addition, every new tune is an experiment with something new learned and expressively explored. Not easy to sum up with a few tune samples!

Ferguson always was interested in experimenting with cross pollinations of genres and the instruments common to different genres. Here in his forth CD, one finds perhaps slightly more rock bias than before.

I love Kevin's music. This so far is my favorite of Kevin's CDs. Interestingly that is what I thought about "Subtle Hint" but it has been displaced. Great stuff, can't wait to buy the next one.
