Kevin Kane is a singer/songwriter living and performing in New York City. He plays these original songs, often ten or fifteen sets a week - in schools, in parks, at parties - in short, anywhere children and their folks gather. Kevin began performing for children with the renowned Penny Ante Children's touring theater company, working on stage and for television. He was a regular performer on Ring Around the World, NBC-TV, and is also a playwright, having written for both children's theater and for New York and regional stages. One NYC critic said of his folk material, "what Anton Chekhov would have sounded like if they'd given him a guitar and a harmonica." Don't let that scare you. Chekhov was a very nice man who was always a hit with the kids! Kevin's songs for children and their folks are sometimes funny, some times irreverent, and always a hit with kids. In some NYC neighborhoods he is greeted on the streets and sidewalks like Elvis. Some of the songs for parents are so on the money they will set you spinning this cd for yourself, after the little ones are asleep!

This is a great songwriter!

the kids love this CD and are still picking this one for car trips and playdates, really listening and singing along two years after we bought it. One after another the songs are cute, humorous, touching, melodic, and insightful. We're wearing our copy out.
