Album Notes

I consider myself a born music lover. Born and raised in Chicago, I grew up listing to everything from Elton John to Stevie Wonder to Earth Wind and Fire. I started playing music when I was 13 as a percussionist in the Lake Providence Jr. High School. My family and I relocated from Chicago to Lack Providence Louisiana In 1978. I played there until I went back to Chicago. There I played in the Manley High School Jazz Band. That experience started my fascination with jazz. At Manley I tried several different instruments moving from percussion and settling on playing the Trombone. I excelled as a Trombone player winning the Most Improved Musician award in my first year. I held the first chair position until graduation in 1987. I was also a featured soloist on percussions and trombone.

As an adult I taught myself to play the keyboard; I also mastered the art of creating music through the use of MIDI equipment and computers. I’ve been writing and recording since 1996. I have recorded several demos and I finally finished my first disk in 2006. I don’t want to be categorized because my music taste has grown immensely throughout my life. So you can hear influences from all kind of music. I have been influence by Hip-Hop, Rock, and Pop, R&B, Trip-Hop (namely Tricky and Massive Attack), Electronic and Alternative music throughout my life. I feel my music defies genre and I like it that way. Every time I tried to copy another artist style I would create something unique and personal. I am proud of my music and I hope people can enjoy my music. I plan to release another CD in the summer of 2007 entitled, Inner Thoughts Vol. 2 : The Misery. I am a member of ASCAP and NARAS's GrammyU program.
