With a sound that is so familiar, yet so new, nineteen year old Kevin Regan bursts through the speakers like a ray of light that has been dimmed for many ages. This young man from Nutley, New Jersey creates a buzz with every age group that comes into contact with his music. Kevin has shown an interest in music his whole life. He wrote his first song at the age of six and has never stopped. Fueled by his love for the music of the Bee Gees, the Beatles, and the Beach Boys, Kevin set out to make music that does to his generation what those groups did to theirs. Kevin's unique sound combines the classic pop-standard style of the 60s and 70s with new, modern sounds. "I knew this was the right way to go," Kevin said. "I've always been around kids my own age who had mix cds with older songs on them. That said something to me. This sound is still popular but nobody is realizing it." Within the span of a year, Kevin turned this vision into four very well acclaimed albums, "Great Expectations", "Surrender", "The Other Side of a Lie", and "Phase I". He was shocked that so many people related to his vision. One of those people, Ken Sherman, said, "I have been in the music industry for quite a few years. I can usually spot a talent, even if I don't particularly like the style of music. In Kevin's case, however, I love the style as well as the songs. Kevin has wonderful pop sensibilities and shows a maturity way beyond his years." Kevin's hope for the future is as much exposure as possible. "I've always dreamed of having a record contract," Kevin said. "My music is my life. I would love to have the opportunity to share it with people on an international level." With four albums under his belt, a fifth one in the works, and numerous songs that stick in people's minds, it's very clear to everybody who listens that one day soon the right ear will hear his music and make his dream come true. "I used to steal my Mom's old records when I was young." Kevin said. "I used to listen to those amazing songs and know that someday I'd make beautiful music just like that. I didn't know where, I didn't know when, and I didn't know what it would sound like. I just knew that that's what I was going to do." Time has shown that songs can live forever. The young man you are listening to certainly has the talent to write songs that can do just that.
