KEVIN SHORT BAND
Led by Kevin Short, with Simon Webb on keyboards, Les Davidson on Guitar, Gary Twigg on Bass, Jimmy F Copley on Drums, with vocals by Kevin Short, Fiona McArthur, Karena Kelly, and Simon Webb, Punk Strut the Album features songs from Kevin Short’s semi-autobiographical film Punk Strut – the Movie. Kevin Short, signed to EMI records, Intersong/Chappell, and Dick James Music in the 70’s and 80’s, has two cult classic collector’s records from the past: Punk Strut (1978) Have a Bath (1980) – following his band Kevin Short and His Privates (EMI) he formed Slaks (DJM) then went on to form rockabilly band The Junction (BBC records) The present Kevin Short Band is a reforming of the 1970’s Band, with the addition of Manfred Mann’s now drummer Jimmy F Copley. Punk strut – the Album is a celebration of the punk years gone by, and the punk years still to come.
