Kevin Swink is a singer/songwriter from Baltimore, Maryland whose voice has been compared to Vince Gill by many of his peers. Kevin says "maybe the smooth delivery might remind you of Vince, but the tone of his voice is much higher." However his modern style of Country does emulate the Big Stars of today. With Kevin growing up in church and singing there since a young kid, he primarily has written Christian songs over the years.

Although his latest cd single is not considered to be Christian, he still feels that these 3 songs were inspired by God, and still touch the hearts of the people. Kevin feels that for a time, God has placed a call on his life to reach those men and women who serve our country in the Armed Forces as well as the veterans of this great country with his message of Thanks and Appreciation.

This powerful and inspiring cd which pays Tribute to everyone in the US Armed Forces both past and present is doing just that. The message of Thanks and Appreciation is definitely displayed in the title track "Thank You". "They Call Me Daddy" is a clever tribute to Kevin's two little daughters, and "Do It For God" is a unique look at how God shows up in peoples lives through the willingness of others.

Kevin calls his sound a cross between Lonestar, Rascal Flatts and Vince Gill if you can imagine that. He says "I feel that what I do is something called Inspiratonal Counrty." He explains it as being a style of music that can be sung in church and accepted in the secular world of music as well. I guess over all it could be summed up as good wholesome country with a positive message.

Kevin is not only trying to spread his positive message through music, but he is also donating a portion of the proceeds from all cd sales to OperationFirstResponse.com. He believes that it is very important to have organizations like this that visit the wounded at the military medical facilities, and help with aid to their families.

Kevin urges you to buy his cd and in doing so you are helping in the support of our troops. If none of that seems to peak your patriotism, just buy it for the sake of the good songs. On September 18, 2005, he released a cd single entitled Thank You. The title track from this cd is a song that Kevin wrote in tribute to the US Armed Forces both past and present, thanking them for their service and sacrifices. This cd became more than just music and lyrics. It became a message that people wanted to send to their loved ones serving in the Armed Forces.

This prompted Kevin to build a website where people could go and buy the cds for their loved ones and even go as far as buying cds for other servicemen and women who they did not know. Kevin found himself not just a mere artist promoting a cd, but now joining with other organizations that are involved in supporting our US Troops in various ways as well.

By performing at political fundraisers, and different events honoring the US Veterans, and our military, he is now starting to get his message out, as well as being able to promote himself as an artist. Kevin finds himself on a different mission today than he ever dreamed of, but it is a mission that he puts his whole heart into, because of the appreciation and respect that he has for those serving his country.

While he continues to accomplish this mission, he knows firsthand the struggles an aspiring artist goes through. He started his own production company where he helps these artist with the production of their own cd projects, and even produces professional demos for songwriters. So needless to say his dreams of pursuing a career in music have taken a few twists and turns, but now he seems to be going in the right direction..

Kevin plans to release a full length cd in the near future, but for now he stays busy promoting his current single and several of his websites. He also continues to play and sing in his local church. However, the expectations that he has, far surpasses anything that he is doing right now.

Although very few people ever make it independently in the music business, Kevin has a unique blend of beautiful musical arrangements, and positive inspiring lyrics that set him apart from most of the others. His determination and refusal to abandon his dream has placed him on a path of limitless opportunities. Kevin says: “How can I be limited when my God is limitless?” A statement he puts into practice everyday.
