Sometimes the games of love make you feel like your on a rollercoaster. The thing about rollercoasters is they never actually go anywhere -- You always end up exactly where you started. "Bound for Nowhere" is a tribute to the rollercoaster of emotion and struggle that come with being in love. It's sound is very broadway-ish and may leave you wondering "what show was that from?"

Lisa was her name. As far as I was concerned she was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. Her long black hair flowed in dark rivers across her shoulders and spilled gently down her back. Her face, a mixture of her Italian and Korean roots, glowed with a bright smile and silly laugh. She was a flautist and pianist; I was a clarinetist and a composer. We met my Sophomore year at Christopher Newport Univeristy (where I was studying to be a music teacher).
My name is Jamie. I'm a writer. I composer music, write songlyrics, author books, and write science fiction novels (you can preview them at www.empmusic.com). Lisa crossed my path unexpectedly. I was not looking for love and neither was she. Both of us were the kind of people who often enjoyed the solitude of lonliness. Nonetheless, we found ourselves captured by cupid. Not to be cliche, but it was love at first site. For three years we road the rollercoaster of our relationship up and down. However, eventually things turned sour, and we went our seperate ways. Perhaps our paths will cross again someday.

The singer on this album is the one and only Kathryn Key. Not heard of her? Now you have! She is an amazing vocalist who has brought life to my emotion of songs. She has her own recording studio in the basement of her house. Ms. Key can be seen regularly performing at the Trellis in Williamsburg.
