Album Notes

Believe it or not! This is a live & unrehearsed performance.

The music is pure Key- psychedelic, funky, rockin', and as always with a blues undertone. The songwriting comes from the time he spent living in NYC, along the coast of San Francisco and out in the Nevada desert surrounded by the uninhibited creativity.

Key Frances aka Deep Eddy is one of those rare are real artists whose approach to live music comes out of the old Jazz tradition of gathering the best possible musicians, beginning a song and seeing what happens.

Some of the world's best musicians got together one night and performed a live concert under a Large Copper Pyramid during a New Moon in Santa Fe New Mexico.

The story goes Key Frances had taken some solo gigs to try out new material.
Michael Kott, the cellist extradonaire, showed up & sat in.
It sounded great, of course.
The next night the wonderful Mark Clark brought in his percussion and they were off.

Everyone who heard what these three were up to was blown away & said 'you should record this'

So they did.

All wooden instruments were used to create the earthy tonality in this live performance.
There are no recording overdubs on the guitar, vocals, percussion, and cello. (bass was added later)
The trio consisted of Mark Clark on congas, kick-drum, & cajon.
Michael Kott on cello (bow & bass)
and Key Frances on an old harmony guitar & vocals.

They played one gig together as a band & with no rehearsal came together & recorded what you hear.
