Album Notes

Key of Three is the coming together of two singer/songwriters, Kirsten Ireland, and Lil Mikey Roohan. A mix of earthy folk and rock with a twist of vintage country, this album is a testament to the talent of both artists. The feel of this album ranges from dark and heartfelt, with When I’m Gone, to light and playful with Bar of Soap.

Though a duet, Kirsten and Mikey have successfully achieved the sound of a rich three piece band, by playing a divided drum set with their feet while singing, and/or playing various other instruments, such as guitar and accordion. This album was recorded just as they perform live, with the drums being played only with their feet.
