Album Notes

Khalil Saadiq
Poet, Community Activist, Natural Foods Chef

Simply put, Khalil is on a mission. On a mission to unsettle that part of you that has grown complacent with the lower levels of your nature. Khalil’s performances are explosive, humorous, educating, informative and at times abrasive-with the intent to liberate minds-in hopes that their physical body follows. Khalil’s words agitate the listener into taking a serious look at themselves (Especially the dumb sh*t that we do, myself included.) and that which keeps them grounded, thus forcing them to choose-Life or Death.

Paradigm Shift, Khalil’s latest effort, is a balanced mixture of spoken word poetry and hip hop that takes you on a journey inside of yourself. Production by Amond Jackson and guest appearances by Lashaun “Omoragita” Tribble and Back Talk Poetry Troupe members- The Ancient Newcomer and Trooth.

Khalil is a founding member of The Sol Griots Artist Collective and a member of Back Talk Poetry Troupe (Tallahassee)
