Khani Cole's 2002 Heavycat/Expansion Records' (Sony/3MV - UK) release, Lifetime - produced by veteran New York based writers-producers, Chris Parks & Vivian Sessoms (Lalah Hathaway, Najee, Pink, Roberta Flack, Rob Thomas Dianne Reeves)is a fuse of Neo-Soul, funk, jazz and unaffected grace from Cole.

Musicians include, among others Poogie Bell (Marcus Miller, Erykah Badu, Bruce Flowers ( Betty Carter, Erykah Badu, Brian McKnight), Chris Parks (Najee, Lalah Hathaway, Vivian Sessoms (Pink, Rob Thomas), George Lax (Lenny Kravitz) and Andrew Sherman (Mariah Carey).

Khani states: "Lifetime featured some of the greatest musicians in New York were featured and I felt that there wasn't a "throw-away" song on the album."

Lifetime's first two singles, Sunshine & All About U, quickly ascended the European radio charts and picked up where Cole's 1999 release, Places left off.
