Album Notes

This c.d. matches perfection when it comes to both musicianship and sound quality. It was recorded in Blue Wave studios in Vancouver, Canada and Nola Studio in New York City, USA. The Life and the Drum band headed by Kevin Hicks on Drums features Ross Taggart, Myron Makepeace, Tracy Myers, John 'blacky' Forrest and Gerry Barnum.

Lionel Hampton and Ingrid Jenson accepted an invitation to play on the recording. The spice they add to the disc is irreplaceable. Dee Daniels sings beautifully with Wally 'Gator' Watson on two songs which are backed by the fantastic 'life and the drum' band.

This c.d. climaxes in the last song where the two long time friends, Kevin Hicks and Wally 'Gator' Watson perform and old fashioned 'drum battle' which was written by Kevin on his travels.

Enticed by faith this recording will surely leave the listener comforted and lifted.

Salut, I'd like to hear more paradigms in your solos guys. Ross, I like the Blue Notes, but you need to learn to play over the chords; 3's and 7's you know? I couldn't feel the changes. Definitely a pulse though. (... um heterophony). Consider video games to work on that dexterity Myron, and chords move in fours not fives. Ingrid, I think you got lost in the bridge. Otherwise beautiful playing and production. (I have one at home) -Monseigneur Bughatti ---Andora
