Fun Adult Contemporary/Classic Rock Album with Strong, Powerful Songs
author: Matt M. and the RadioIndy.com Reviewer Team
KickBend's album "faith.hope.love" holds onto the same blues, soul, and country roots that rock bands from the 70's and early 80's captured. With gritty, tight vocals and strong musicianship they deliver a classic sound with a contemporary edge. On this CD, KickBend effectively changes tempos and moods, to keep it interesting throughout. The 4th track, "Legend," has the feel of an epic Bon Jovi sing-along ballad. Track 8, "Let's Make This Right," demonstrates the band's abilities by breaking it down to basics in a softer jam. "faith.hope.love" is a fun album with strong, powerful songs and is a great addition to the collection of any Adult Contemporary or Classic Rock listener.

It is hard to convey how much I enjoyed this album. It is a wonderful experience consisting of many genres including country, pop, rock, blues and soul. One minute I was tapping my foot and wanting to dance (GONE) the next minute I was caught up in a more somber musical number portraying great feelings and depth (A SONG FOR YOU). The collection of songs fit well together and wraps you with a sense of comfort that will make you smile. The band syncs well together and the harmonies and vocals are a wonderful blend of music with a message. In addition, the 2 music videos are included that are simply marvelous and just happened to be my favorite songs on the album!

Then, there is Kick Bend, a blues rock band from Willow Springs, Illinois. It is a kick butt Southern rock band, offering up tasty blues and Springsteenesque rock. Their “A Song for You” is a song to rival G.B. Leighton’s “Wings Working Overtime,” a sweet song about the power of the love of a good woman. I was most impressed with “Let’s Make This Right,” a most unusual don’t-leave-me song with Eastern European rhythms, and the big rocking “The Beat Goes On.”
